76th Annual Orange Bowl
The 76th annual FedEx Orange Bowl will be held at Sun Life Stadium, just 7.5 miles from our Hollywood Beach resort accommodations. Since its humble beginnings in 1935, the Orange Bowl, a member of the Bowl Championship Series, has become one of the most highly-anticipated bowl games each year and is known for competitive match-ups and heated rivalries.
Spectators of the Orange Bowl can expect to see the champion of the Atlantic Coast Conference play a team ranked in the BCS poll, promising an intense contest between two superior teams. NFL Pro Bowl at Sun Life Stadium
Formerly named Dolphin Stadium, the home of the Miami Dolphins is now Sun Life Stadium. Along with the 76th Annual FedEx Orange Bowl, the stadium will also host the AFC-NFC Pro Bowl.
The culmination of football fanatics' season, the Pro Bowl pits the best players from the American Football Conference (AFC) against those from the National Football Conference (NFC). This game is intended to honor the all-star players from the 2009 NFL season as selected by fans and their football peers.
This all-star game is generally scheduled for the last game of the NFL season. This year, for the first time, Sun Life Stadium will host the Pro Bowl on Sunday, January 31, 2010 before Super Bowl XLIV.
